CRT Densifier Extruders represent the highest technology, the easiest operation, and the best cost-benefit ratio among plastic granule extrusion systems. Thanks to their intelligent operating systems, CRT Densifier Extruders also require minimal personnel.

They are capable of processing all forms (flakes, shavings, foam) of LDPE, LLDPE, MDPE, HDPE, PP, PS, and ABS plastics. With the integrated automatic densification system, plastics with up to 7% moisture content can be granulated without issue.

Thanks to their advanced technical features, CRT Densifier Extruders can simultaneously perform the following processes in a single step:

  • Final drying,
  • Densification,
  • Homogenization,
  • Plasticizing,
  • Degassing

The CRT Densifier Extruder operates with minimal personnel requirement thanks to its user-friendly intelligent control system. With the recipe feature, all system parameters can be recorded. When processing different types of plastics, different recipes can be saved and recalled with a single touch, allowing the system to automatically load all relevant parameters.

The CRT Densifier Extruder monitors the capacity according to system parameters and automatically feeds the required amount of plastic raw material into the densifier chamber. Inside the chamber, rotating and stationary blades create friction, subjecting the recyclable plastics to final drying, densification, and pre-degassing stages.

Thanks to the motor-driven transition gate, the gap between the densifier and extruder screw is automatically adjusted by the PLC system. This ensures that only plastics ready for extrusion are transferred to the screw.

CRT Densifier Extruders are designed to operate fully automatically, without the need for an operator. During the densification stage, plastics are preheated and then fed directly into the extruder screw while still warm. This minimizes energy consumption and ensures highly efficient operation.

With its twin degassing screw design and powerful vacuum pump, the system delivers excellent degassing performance. The gases absorbed by the AISI 316-grade stainless steel vacuum pump are mixed with water and safely discharged. Thanks to the stainless steel cooling-bodied condensation tank, the water needed by the vacuum pump is used in a closed-loop system, saving up to 1.2 m³ of water per hour.

The connection between the extruder’s main motor and the gearbox is achieved via a steel spring coupling, preventing the energy losses commonly found in belt-pulley systems. Energy efficiency is further improved through inverter-controlled main and densifier motors with IE3 efficiency class.
