DESCRIPTION
Side Feeder Pellet Extruders are machines specifically designed for pelletizing plastics with low bulk density and difficult free-flow characteristics, such as film and foam forms. Clean shredded plastics or washed and dried plastics can be processed with these machines.
The plastics to be pelletized are transferred from the side feeder hopper to the extruder screw via an inverter-controlled motor-driven side feeder screw. A vertically mounted mixer driven by an inverter-controlled motor inside the feeder hopper prevents the materials from bridging inside the hopper.
The screw diameter, length-to-diameter (L/D) ratio, number of degassing zones, filter model, and filter diameter are all designed according to the type and form of the material being processed.
PTA bimetallic coating is applied to the screw, providing extra protection against the abrasive effects of plastics. The screw and barrel are hardened through nitriding and induction treatment. Optionally, bimetallic barrels manufactured using centrifugal casting techniques can also be used.
Thanks to the inverter-controlled side feeder motor and main screw motor, plastics with varying hardness and bulk density can be pelletized with consistent pressure and efficiency. This ensures both high productivity and quality.
High energy efficiency is achieved through direct coupling between the motor and gearbox, ceramic heaters, insulated heating bands, and inverter-controlled systems.
Our Side Feeder Pellet Extruders are controlled by a user-friendly smart PLC system with a touchscreen interface. Through the recipe system, parameters for different types of plastics can be saved, making it easy to switch between different materials. With the one-touch start feature, the pellet extruder and its auxiliary equipment can be operated from a single control point.
